Estimating:  Our estimating team is made up of seasoned professionals that have the knowledge and experience to look at the detail of each job, anticipate issues and find the most cost effective means to accomplish the design objectives. Working with Quick Pen™ estimating resources, we ensure that the take off is accurate and reflects the best pricing on materials and fixtures available to the industry through weekly system updates.

Detailing/Coordination: At the beginning of each job, our project managers proactively take the time to complete detailed drawings for mechanical system installation in addition to coordination drawings for work with other trades to eliminate collisions, conflicts and omissions.

Project Management:  Ashcraft Mechanical prides itself in effective project management. Each job is assigned a project manager proficient in the type of work to be performed.  The project manager works directly with the construction manager, architect, engineers and owners rep to expedite the job, identify issues well in advance and to ensure the best allocation of resources. The project manager is responsible for production scheduling, staffing, submittals, requests for information, equipment delivery scheduling, coordination meetings, and safety. The project manager ensures the alignment of materials, staffing and equipment availability with the overall project schedule to alleviate delays and other disruption. Ashcraft Mechanical uses the Master Builder™ integrated construction management system for submittal logs, RFI’s, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, cost accounting, and other project management functions.

Contract Administration:  As part of our commitment to excellence, the company provides dedicated resources for contract administration to ensure that all aspects of the contractual requirements are being met and that the supporting documentation is accurate, up to date and delivered on-time. Contract Administrators work directly with the Project Managers and field Superintendents involving written communication between Ashcraft Mechanical and the Construction Manager.

Commissioning/Warranty:   The commissioning of equipment and mechanical systems starts from the planning process and continues through turn-over of the facility to the owner. At the planning stage, we evaluate each system in anticipation of start-up to identify any deficiencies that would preclude the system from meeting the design expectations. Throughout the installation process we perform testing on each phase of installation to eliminate failure and to ensure quality workmanship. Once installation of systems is complete, a series of start-ups are completed leading up to the complete system operation with controls. Our team, along with equipment representatives, work with test and balance to ensure the system is calibrated to the design criteria. The team provides training and operating manuals for all systems installed. The specific team members remain available throughout the warranty period.

Service & Maintenance: In support of the systems we and others install, Ashcraft Mechanical provides ongoing preventative maintenance and 24 hour on-call service support for commercial clients. Through scheduled preventative maintenance, Ashcraft Mechanical will ensure that you get the highest return on your mechanical system investment.
